It's looking bad for the Watchmen movie, now that a judge is allowing a lawsuit by Fox over the film rights to the famous graphic novel to go forward. It's even worse when you realize that the same judge ruled against Warner Bros. in a case involving the rights to a Dukes Of Hazzard movie 2 years ago.
Cool little movie quiz.

A judge has denied a Warner Bros. motion to dismiss 20th Century Fox's lawsuit over the right to make a film based on the graphic novel "Watchmen." Ruling is potentially a huge victory for Fox, which could wind up being a profit participant in the film, costing Warners millions considering the film's box office prospects.
It looks like the bigscreen version of "Spy Hunter" has taken a backseat because when asked about Spy Hunter and they way he answered the question to me at least, seems that he is not doing it anymore. He might write it but it sure looks like he will not be directing the project.
The brick road wasn't just yellow. It was school-bus-parked-on-the-surface-of-the-sun yellow. That's because when The Wizard of Oz premiered in 1939, Hollywood was still testing its newest toy, three-color Technicolor, and studios wanted to astonish audiences with supersaturated hues.
So what can we assume about Righteous Kill from this new trailer?
1) De Niro may succeed in beating his own long standing record (Casino) for ”fuck” utterances and derivations. 2) Carla Gugino gets naked. Again. 3) Director Jon Avnet and Pacino may have redeemed themselves for the travesty that was 88 Minutes.
What constitutes a badass performance? Complete immersion into the role of the character? Sure. Perfect delivery of the dialogue handed to you? No question. The answer “Pretty much anything Robert De Niro and Al Pacino do” also would be acceptable.
Warner Bros' latest Batman movie is expected to become the second-highest grossing movie of all time in North America Saturday, a box office tracking firm predicts. "The Dark Knight," the sixth installment of the comic book adaptation franchise released one month ago in U.S. and Canadian theaters, will zip past "Star Wars" today.
The new Rainn Wilson comedy "The Rocker," which opens Friday, features songs by the film's fictional bands, the hard-rocking Vesuvius and teen-pop act A.D.D. The bands may be fake, but the songs are real.
There is no reason to remake something that is absolutely perfect. A big reason for that there are hundreds of thousands of unproduced screenplays which will never see the light of Harvey Weinstein's desk, and there's a good chance that a couple thousand of those screenplays are actually brilliant.
It's already the calling itself the movie adaptation of "the most celebrated graphic novel of all time," but if a certain group of masochistic fans have their way, "visionary director" Zach Snyder's version of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' comic may also be the longest comic strip movie ever made - But is the general public ready for three hours?
Well, Star Wars: Clone Wars was released, and though it was a much anticipated event (or ploy) to get every Star Wars geek to the theater for something a little different, you might spend your money better on the Genndy Tartakovsky versions.
If you go back a little ways, there was an incredibly positive script review of Grayskull: Masters of the Universe, the new take on the ultra-nostalgic world of He-Man.
